Japan June 2011 - Day 15 - Osaka

And so back to Osaka we were and I have little else to share, as I spent most of the last few days shopping! Another trip to Japan suddenly over but such an amazing trip! Yakushima was one of my 'bucket list' items and it really lived up to my expectations. I am finishing this post months and months after I came back and still sit in my local Japanese restaurants trying to relive the memories and wishing I could return! However there are other countries out there... so I really should give them some attention, maybe I will just 'accidentally' book return flights that stopover in Japan?

Our last few nights in Japan we did explore the street of Dotonbori, famous for its restaurants and neon lights and we indulged in a bit of Yakiniku so I will leave you with those photos.

An American Burger Bar in Amerikamura, Osaka.

Ridiculous bling cars in Amerikamura, Osaka.

Getting close to the main part of Dotonbori, can you see the neon glow?

The famous 'Glico running man' in Dotonbori, Osaka.

I think this is 'Kani Doraku' a crab restaurant in Dotonbori, Osaka.

Some of the possibly deadly fugu restaurants in Dotonbori, Osaka.

The famous mechanical clown installed in the 50's 'Kuidaore Taro' in Dotonbori, Osaka.

A Takoyaki restaurant in Dotonbori, Osaka.

Our Yakiniku restaurant 'Gyu-Kyu' in Dotonbori, Osaka.

  1. I love all your travel posts!!! I totally love Japan as well and I've counted...I've been 4 times, but technically the first time doesn't count so I've really been 3 times properly as well. :) Would LOVE to go back to Japan, maybe next year...

Thanks for visiting my blog and I must say, you seem to travel a lot! :D

I have been following your blog for quite some time - I went to Gypsy & Pig tonight after seeing one of your posts, it was delicious and so authentic - loving all the new Japanese restaurants!
