Not long to go!!

It is only a few days till I leave to go back to Japan for the third time!

Being the crazy planner that I am practically every part of the trip is now researched and booked, and once again it seems there is never enough time to fit in everything that Japan offers. I have had to skip Matsuyama and Dogo Onsen (so sad!), Yufuin, Miyazaki, Ibusuki, Nagasaki and many more places I would love to see if only I had endless holiday time and money. But as it is I am already whizzing about Kyushu and I think rushing through travel at breakneck speed and missing all the lovely bits is worse than slowing it down a little to enjoy it all and sacrificing a few destinations. There is always next time!

That said I have finalised my itinerary and will be flying into Osaka, spending what I am hoping will be perfect sake + beef funtimes in Kobe, training it down to Beppu, Aso, Kurokawa, Kagoshima, then ferrying across to Yakushima to wander about in rain, moss and forest before training it up to Sasebo, Hiroshima and finally back to Osaka.

I am going to attempt this time (ATTEMPT) to write about each day while I am over there instead of my usual retroblog. I never have before because usually while I am on holiday that's exactly what I am doing - holidaying, so I have never really wanted to spend any of that time writing posts. Being the third time over in Japan though, and having done a couple of posts on this thing I feel a little more comfortable in being able to throw a few words and photos down during the trip.

So in the next few days - posts from Japan! Can't wait :)
