I must have been in a bit of denial, because it was actually a family holiday and instead filled with frightening hotels, scam artists, world's worst traffic, slums, drama and endless frustration. This was all due to my travel companions though and really Indonesia was just the unfortunate backdrop.
One day I will have to go back (minus family) to give it a real chance, as on my very last day in Bali - when everyone had flown away and I was on my own for ten hours, I actually started to see the lovely side of the island when I attempted to cram in as many sightseeing spots as I could before catching my own flight.
So I have no trip report as such, but I thought I would still throw a few photos on here that I managed to snap in between the chaos.
